In God's Camp
Jacob discovered that God’s promise often comes before the process. In Genesis 28, God promised him blessing, protection, descendants, and His presence—but years of hardship, delay, fear, and uncertainty followed. Yet even in the struggle, God never left him. At Mahanaim, Jacob realized once again: “This is God’s camp!”
Alone at the brook Jabbok, Jacob wrestled with God through the night and refused to let go until the blessing came. Though he walked away with a limp, it became the testimony that he had truly been in the presence of God. Sometimes the struggle changes us—but on the other side of the test is the testimony.
