The Lord Knows the Way of the Righteous
Psalm 1 is not merely a warning about what to avoid; it is a beautiful picture of the blessings that come from a life rooted in God. The blessed person seeks God's wisdom, walks in His ways, and enjoys fellowship with His people. As a result, they experience clarity, purpose, spiritual growth, and the favor of the Lord upon their journey.
Like a tree planted by streams of water, the righteous draw continual strength from God. Though they may face seasons of hardship, loss, and struggle, their roots run deep into His grace. Their faith remains alive, their testimony remains fruitful, and their lives continue to prosper in God's purpose. While the way of the wicked ultimately perishes, the Lord watches over and sustains those who are planted in Him.
